During our KYSD(Know Your School Day), all the students in the University of the Philippines were being taught by students for two days. First years were taught by students in first year also, according to the subject where they applied. Second year students also taught second years, third years by third years and seniors by seniors. During the two days of the KYSD, teachers, except for Mme. Nuñez, didn't teach us instead by our co- classmates. They only came to watch the class if they were listening and participating. Throughout the whole period of Social Science, Leslie taught us instead of Mme. Sofia Logarta; in Reading, Filipino and Science A, Dan taught us instead of Mme. Gallo, Mam Ligaya Rabago and Mme. Montaño, in Science A, also, Ernestine, Adelpha and Jacque taught us, also, instead of Mme. Gallo, in English, Patrice taught us; as a substitute of Sir Elmer; in Science C, Windel and Jacque were there in place of Mme. Gallo; Computer, Rheena took the place of Mme. Kerr; in P.E, Jayza and Jea in section Bartlett and Ernestine took over for Ms. Maquilan.
For me as a student, I had a difficulty in listening to the student- teachers because the students of the substitute teachers were not listening to her or him. They were just talking and always talking of nonsense things, like what happened to you there? Did you catch a Pokemon? Or what happened to Gian, Janelle, Troy and Monique? And some girls were shouting and shouting because they want the attention of the " substitute teachers "and listen to them. I was also distracted and annoyed by the boys around me. They were always there to insult Leejee and always saying some words that don't have meanings. They were also very boisterous that my ears exploded. In fact, while the substitute teachers were discussing, the boys, whom I mentioned a while ago, were shouting clearly the word...Anuuuuuuuuuu.... They made the whole classroom go wild. But of course, they also have discipline in their selves. Why? Because during the time of our English class, which Patrice Bote was assigned and was the one to taught us, they listened to her. I can't believe that they were so silent.
Throughout the two days of the KYSD, we, students, also had a time to feel enjoyment while the teachers were having a break. But sometimes, I feel like, like I wanted the real teachers to teach us the lessons so we can understand it better. All the details, ideas, lessons, etc., etc., etc., in the books will be discussed. The substitute teachers were only repeating the words. They were like reporters that were reporting some news. ( If the substitute teachers are reading, don't be angry, I'm only expressing my ideas and what I felt.)
I also feel glad during the last day of the KYSD where certificates were given to the industrious students, which experience some experiences while being a teacher. I am very grateful that I have classmates and schoolmates who were brave enough to what the teachers for all the days, weeks, months, years, and even century of teaching of students who were busy...talking. Our beloved teachers also were happy and proud of them. I didn't know what exactly the other students feel for them but for me, I am proud.
